The necessity for localization and identification of antipersonnel landmines, hazardous waste, and underground tank sites and other objects buried worldwide, has arizen during the last decade. These tasks are usually done using prodders, specially trained dogs, metal detectors and other methods that are contact or almost contact non-destructive testing methods, which usage is in the de-mining field accompanied with high risk level, large duration and high cost. Our project for the Capstone Design requirement is to design and built ground penetrating radar(GPR), using existing technology, to detect underground objects. The detection of the object consists of determining whether it is present, and determining its distance from underground to the radar.
